Getting here

Where camp actually happens.

Every camp week runs out of our studio at 36 Broadlands Blvd, tucked into the Broadlands community in Don Mills, North York. There is parking on site, so drop-off and pick-up are easy.

We’re close to Broadlands Public School (TDSB), St. Catherine Catholic School (TCDSB), Cassandra Public School (TDSB), Three Valleys Public School (TDSB), Norman Ingram Public School (TDSB) and St. Bonaventure Catholic School (TCDSB), and an easy drive from across Don Mills, North York, East York, Leaside, Victoria Village and Parkwoods.

Right next door

Outside, every season.

Broadlands Community Centre and Broadlands Park sit walking distance from our front door, so the season changes what we do, not whether we go out.

Warm weather

  • Swimming pool
  • Baseball diamond
  • Outdoor tennis & pickleball courts

Cold weather

  • Hockey rink
  • Tobogganing hill
  • Small outdoor fitness court

All year

  • Ravine walks
  • The big field
  • Playground

Not a field trip. Just how our days work.

Parent Stories

Don’t just take our word for it.

They Make. They Move. They Meet. They Tell.

Hear what a family has to say:

One of the things we’ve loved most is seeing how excited our daughter gets about the people she meets. She absolutely loves Ms. Amrin and Ms. Fareen and has really enjoyed making new friends. She gets especially excited when someone new comes in to share a skill or lead a special activity. Whether it’s 3D printing, sewing, painting, or building, she loves learning from different people and trying something new. She always comes home with a story about who she met or what she learned, and it’s been such a great way for her to feel connected to the community.

Parents of a Grade 5 learner
Safety first

And the part parents
think about first.

Answered plainly, before you have to ask.

Small groups, always

Never more than ten kids to a guide. Small enough that every kid is known by name, not counted in a crowd.

First-aid qualified and RECE-led

Our guides hold current first aid certification, so the person with your child knows what to do in an emergency. Hexagon is led by Registered Early Childhood Educators.

Vulnerable Sector Check

Every member of our team completes a Vulnerable Sector Check before working with our kids.

Nut-free facility

No nuts on site, for anyone. Tell us about any allergy when you register and we plan the day around it. If your child needs medication during the day — an inhaler, an EpiPen, anything prescribed — tell us at registration; the authorization form is in your registration package.

Every child is different

If your child needs extra support, tell us before you enrol. Bring us the details, whether that is an IEP, a diagnosis, or simply what you have learned as their parent. We can very often make it work, but only if we know.

Photo permissions

Photo and social media permissions are yours to set, in your registration package.

Camp Questions

Everything parents ask about a camp week. Can't find your answer? Call us at 416 889 1074, or see the full list.

Hexagon is a hands-on enrichment program for kids aged 6–12. Through After School Programming, PA Day Adventures and Camp Experiences, kids spend their time making, moving and meeting.

We don’t believe kids need more time simply being kept busy. They need opportunities to MAKE, MOVE and MEET. Every Hexagon experience is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence and give kids something meaningful to do, discover or create.

Hexagon programming is designed by educators who understand how kids learn best: through doing, questioning, creating, moving and working with others. Every experience has a purpose behind it.

No. Hexagon is an enrichment program. Your child is supervised the whole time by first-aid qualified, Vulnerable Sector Checked guides, but the hours are planned around hands-on projects, movement and outdoor exploration rather than filling time.

A camp week has room for things a single day does not. Kids build and test projects over several days, cook and bake, head outside, take on team challenges, and get out into the city on a trip.

Each week is shaped around make, move and meet, with enough time to start something on Monday and still be working on it by Friday.

Most kids arrive not knowing anyone. A camp week is actually the easiest place to fix that, because a full day together does in one week what an hour a week would take a term to do.

We build the first morning around it. Kids work in small groups from the start rather than being left to sort themselves out, and our guides know which kids are still on the edge of things and stay close to them.

If your child is anxious about coming, tell us when you book and we’ll watch for it on day one.

On camp weeks, yes. We make the most of where we are, with a mix of local adventures and trips beyond the neighbourhood.

Some days we’ll explore on foot, visiting the park, community centre and other nearby spots. Other days take us further into the city, with the journey there and back becoming part of the adventure.

You’ll know the plan ahead of time, and we ask for your written consent before your child goes off site.

Campers swim twice a week at the Broadlands Community Centre pool, right next door. There is no travel or bus ride. We simply walk over together.

Certified lifeguards are on deck at all times, and our own guides are in the water with the kids, with no more than six kids per guide. This gives us an even closer ratio in the pool than we have on land.

On the first swim day, every camper completes a short swim assessment so we can understand their comfort level in the water. Non swimmers are welcome. They wear a life jacket and stay with a guide while in the water. If your child is not a confident swimmer, please let us know at registration so we can plan ahead.

Swimming is included in the camp fee. On swim days, please pack a swimsuit, towel, and bag for wet things. We will confirm swim days before each camp week begins.

Swimming runs on camp weeks only, not PA Days.

Absolutely. Movement and outdoor exploration are an important part of the Hexagon experience. Whenever possible, we take learning beyond the studio and into the neighbourhood, with time outside every day and swimming twice a week as part of the camp experience.

We don’t wait for perfect weather to go outside.
We embrace what the day brings.

Rain means puddles, muddy adventures, and
experiencing the outdoors a little differently.

If the public school boards close for weather, we close too. We’ll email you as early as we can.

Families receive important program information through email before their child’s experience, along with updates and reminders when needed. We want parents to feel informed without being overwhelmed.

Camp Experiences run 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Extended hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM are $50 a week.

See all programs in the details section.

Camp is a drop-off and pick-up program. Families drop their child off at 36 Broadlands Blvd and pick them up at the end of the day.

We’re an easy drive from across Don Mills, North York, East York, Leaside and the wider Toronto area, and camp weeks draw families from further out than our after-school program does.

At registration, let us know who is authorized to pick up your child. If someone else will be picking them up, please let us know ahead of time.

Please pack a nut-free lunch and a few snacks for each day of the week. We have a fridge and microwave available, so you’re welcome to send food that needs to be kept cold or warmed up.

Pack enough to keep them energized and fueled for a full day.

Come ready for a full week of making, moving, exploring, and connecting. We recommend comfortable clothing, a refillable water bottle, weather-appropriate layers, and indoor shoes. We spend time outside every day, so please come prepared for the conditions, including a waterproof layer and boots when needed.

On swim days, pack a swimsuit, a towel and a bag for wet things. Before each camp week, we’ll share specific details about what to bring, including anything extra needed for trip days.

Hexagon is a nut-free facility. Please let us know about any allergies at registration so we can plan ahead and help make the week safe and comfortable for everyone.

Call and let us know. The full pick-up policy is in your registration package.

Just let us know. A message or a call before the start of the day is all we need.

Yes. You take $20 off every camp week booked, $345 a week instead of $365, for as long as you are enrolled with us after school.

Registration is open now for every week on the calendar, and rates are lowest when a season first opens, so the earlier you book the better the price.

Yes. Bring the whole crew. Your second child gets 10% off, on everything: monthly fees, camp weeks and PA Days.

A $25 deposit per child holds your place, whatever you’re booking. It comes off your payment, so it’s not an extra cost.

Plans change? Just let us know. We’ll keep your deposit on file and apply it to another camp week when your child can join.

Plans change. Let us know at least 7 days before the camp week starts and we’ll move your booking to another available week.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date can’t be moved or refunded, as we may not have enough time to fill the spot. If something unexpected comes up, reach out. We’ll always do our best to work with you.

It works the other way too. If we ever have to cancel a week, you get at least 7 days’ notice and your choice of a full refund or a move to another week.

Let's make this their favourite
part of the day.
